Thornton Centre is a place where all of our volunteers are valued and
appreciated. We are especially thankful for those volunteers who have

| Benefits of
Volunteering We take pride in our volunteers and we strive to make the experience a worth while venture. If you are a high school student looking to complete 40 hours of volunteering, which is now mandatory, we are more than willing to assist students in that area. Volunteering at the Ralph Thornton Centre enables you to
participate in the “Volunteer Development Program,” where there will be
great opportunities such as training, orientation, special workshops, and
special events specifically for our volunteers. We appreciate all the dedication and hard work that our volunteers put in to our organization, because without our volunteers, most of our programs would not exist. Therefore upon success, we will be more than willing to supply our volunteers with reference letters, or any kind of support they may need. For more information about our volunteer program at the Ralph Thornton Centre please call Paulette Caine, Volunteer and Special events coordinator at 416-392-6810 EXT 231 Monday – Friday 1-6pm, you can also email her at paulettec@ralphthornton.org. Please be aware that every Tuesday is walk – in interview day
from 1-5pm; meaning that you can come down to the centre, complete a
volunteer application form, and go through an interview with out an
appointment. All other days are appointment only.
