The Ralph Thornton Community Centre (RTCC) and the South Riverdale Community Health Centre (SRCHC) invite you to join us for an Indigenous Community Meal and Marketplace in commemoration of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.

On Thursday, September 25 from 1–4 PM, join us at 955 Queen St. E and share in:

  • A delicious Indigenous meal
  • A vibrant Indigenous marketplace
  • A smudging ceremony
  • A singing & drumming circle led by Cathy Walker
  • A sweetgrass infusion workshop
  • A pre-colonial landscapes, environmentalism and reconciliation discussion
  • The SRCHC mobile health clinic
  • Local community resources

…And so much more!

The event is FREE to attend and open to all.

*There will also be purchasable items from the vendors/artisans at the marketplace.

End the day with a FREE raffle for gift baskets featuring works from Indigenous artists and books by Indigenous authors.

We look forward to commemorating truth, healing and reconciliation with community in learning, understanding and respect.
