Join RTCC’s Chinese Newcomer Mentor Program and become a positive force in a child’s life!
As a mentor, you’ll be paired one-on-one with a newcomer child (ages 6–12) to help them improve their English and learn about Canadian life and culture through fun group activities and one on one tutoring — all while you gain valuable experience and community service hours.
Where: RTCC, 765 Queen Street East (Queen & Saulter)
When: Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays from 1:00–4:30 PM
Dates: July 7 – August 14, 2025
Commitment: At least 1 afternoon a week for 6 weeks (July 7 to Aug 14, 2025)!
We provide all the tools — you bring your energy, kindness, and love of working with kids.
Volunteers must be 15+ years old and comfortable in a tutoring/mentoring role.
