Notice of the Ralph Thornton Community Centre’s Annual General Meeting
This is your formal notice that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ralph Thornton Community Centre will be held in person at 765 Queen St. E. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the AGM will commence promptly at 6:00 PM (new this year). This will be followed by dinner, our Community Impact Award (formerly the Community Volunteer Award) presentations and our Community Context Workshop.
Bylaw Changes
An update to the Constitution and Procedure By-Law is being considered, specifically related to membership, and will require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of those in attendance at the AGM. Please read about the proposed amendments here.
Elections
There are three vacancies on our Board of Management to be elected by our membership and referred to Toronto City Council for appointment. The Nomination Committee report is available here.
Finances
The AGM will receive the audited financial statements as approved by our Board. The audited financial statements will be available at the AGM.
We ask that you please RSVP and provide the following to Reception by Friday, May 30th, so that the necessary arrangements can be made:
- Your full name.
- The number of attendees you are RSVPing for.
- The names of your party members.
- The membership status of your party members.
- Any additional needs you’d like to make us aware of (e.g., dietary restrictions, child care, accessibility, etc.).
